This group workshop includes resume formatting, headshot guidance, and discussions around joining AEA and SAG-AFTRA, branding yourself, finding an agent and manager, and navigating the NYC acting market. It is modified and tailored to best suit the participants’ specific needs. This workshop is 3 hours long and is best suited towards college-aged or pre-professional students.

NAILING THE AUDITION & BOOKING THE JOB

My auditioning masterclass mimics a real-world situation: the students are given specific scenes, monologues, or songs to prepare ahead of time. I collect headshots and resumes, give feedback on each student, and then each student goes through a mock audition, and is given feedback. After, I give group feedback and what is necessary to get the callback and book the job. This masterclass can be modified to best suit the participants’ specific needs. The length of this workshop depends on the number of participants, and is best suited towards high school students and older. â€‹

SHAKESPEARE: IN REHEARSAL & PERFORMANCE

My Shakespeare masterclass takes an academic look at The Bard's text and then transitions into the performative aspect of it. We start by discussing scansion, iambic pentameter, the use of punctuation and verse and prose, using various exercises to elevate the ideas. Then each student performs a monologue, soliloquy, or sonnet and we examine how to translate these ideas onto the stage. This workshop is designed for high school and older, and the length depends on the number of participants.
